Interactions with adults are a frequent and regular part of an infant’s daily life. Healthy social-emotional development is based in a supportive social environment created by the adults, especially nannies who are a pillar part of the care team, where adults observe and respond to the messages babies are sending through their behavior, and where babies learn how to respond to adults and engage with them. This helps build close relationships with caring adults; parents, grandparents or nannies.
