Introduction of the
National Domestic Workers Bill of Rights in the U.S. Congress

On July 29, 2021, the National Domestic Workers Bill of Rights was reintroduced in the U.S. Congress.

The Bill of Rights is a groundbreaking national legislation to create strong rights and workplace protections for domestic workers across the country. The bill, co-sponsored by Senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Ben Ray Luján and Representative Pramila Jayapal, will create a national standard that provides the respect, dignity, and recognition that all domestic workers deserve.

It will be a long road to get the bill passed into law, but the introduction of the bill is a huge step forward. This was a big day for every nanny, housecleaner and home care worker in the United States! Here’s how you can be part of the action.
